Wasn’t it DRP who predicted that Gayyoom would win the presidential election in 2008? Wasn’t it DRP who predicted that Maldivians will never elect Mohamed Nasheed as their president? Wasn’t it DRP who predicted that they would win 60 seats in the Majlis?
Well! Gayyoom didn’t win the presidential election! Maldivian’s did elect Nasheed as their president! Drp didn’t win 60 seats in the Majlis. So who is it who can’t predict politics? Me or DRP?
I’m not scared of making predictions. Sometimes you get it right and sometimes you get it wrong. This time I was wrong. The front page of Haveeru Daily reported that DRP won and the back page of the newspaper reported that Barcelona won the final match! I had to put masking-tape on the front and the back pages of Haveeru before I could touch it even with sugical gloves! (he he! kidding!) Anyway, life can seem to be so cruel at times. But it is the brave and the wise that can always detect or sense the silver lining in the gloomy clouds!
Now, just because a DRP member (Shahid) is the elected Speaker of the Majlis, don’t expect him to be a lapdog of Gayyoom or Yamin or Thasmeen. In politics things can reverse just overnight. Alliances can break and new alliances could be made. Nasheed is still the president and insha Allah Manchester United will win the quintuple next season!
its true bush sometimes some people get it right and sometimes they get it wrong. but in your case 99% of the time you get it wrong. the only time you got it right was Nasheed won presidential election. and now you are predicting that shahid will change sides. this will add more to your wrong predictions.

ReplyDeleteYes, That's the spirit. I think there was nothing wrong in predicting. I too did comment your prediction and I expected that it may not go as you calculated. It happened as I mentioned, but it was not that I am so good in predicting I guess. I think we need people who will predict, because that will lead others to think logically and reason out properly.

One should ask Abdulla Mohamed( Amin Construction)how much money he paid jangiya nazim to get stelco building project…Actually it was Aima Construction who won the project for Mrf45 million but was later awarded to Amin Construction for Mrf 49million…who chowed the Mrf 4 million?.The project was completed for Mrf 80million plus.All the interior works was done my Namira Engineering.

2. Privatisation bill
3. tax bill
4. social security bill (if any)

ReplyDeleteIts no point fighting now, we (MDP) have lost the parliamentry election. Its in the best interest of the country to put aside our differences and build our nation together. We will have our differences of opinions, but lets not fight each other, lets not call filth to each other. We are brothers and sisters. If we want to deliver the promises we made, we will have to treat our opponents with respect. Some of you may disagree with me. But there is no other way we can make our lives better. The Oposition have the majority, they can block anything they want if want to play it hard. So why put our nation in jeopardy in these difficult times. We must bear in mind, if we want to play it hard and teach them a lesson then they too have equal number of supporters, who are also our brothers and sisters. So why create hatred amongst us. Let stop this political bickering and join hands and build our nation. Failing to do this will push our nation back into prehistoric era, with barbarian like people fighting each other. Just my two cents.

What are you attempting to prove? That out of 300,000 people the president shouldn't know any of these people? Coming from a large extended family in such a small nation it's hard not to know each other or be related in some way.
Beside if you want to run for presidency and be elected you got to know people. Mate, lets live in the real world here.
